HEY! I’M TARA.

I am so happy you’re here!

hi…. my name is tara.  i have had a camera close to my heart since the birth of my first child.  i love all things pretty and vintage.  i adore natural light and sunny days.  there is so much sweetness around me everyday.  i try to capture what is true and real.

i am a full-time mom and a part-time photographer.  i have four beautiful kids and a supportive husband.  they are the inspiration for my work.

as you can see i have big and little kids.  being a mom of big kids has really inspired me to capture ALL the moments.  childhood is fleeting and i want to remember those little hands and personalities.  most photographers do not like to incorporate props.  i am not most photographers!  all of my kids have/had a blankie.  i love that!  it’s so important to me to remember those details.  if your little one has a special blanket, stuffie, etc. please bring it!!  my passion is telling your family’s authentic story and capture your love and emotion.  i have always enjoyed incorporating unique and unexpected elements in to my art.

MY METHOD

Family Photographer Denver - Connection & Emotion

My session is an hour spent loving on one another, embracing the chaos, sometimes the tears, but most importantly making memories, laughing together, and enjoying each others company. My session is NOT about smiling at the camera, or sitting still, it’s not about a perfectly framed photo, it's not about perfect hair, and perfect smiles. It's about being perfectly imperfect, because that's real life! My style of photography is not for everyone and THAT IS OKAY!!! I want to make sure my clients understand exactly what they will be receiving. I want the wind to blow in your hair, I want your kids to be a little wild and even a little dirty, I want YOU as parents to spend the hour loving on them, because time is a thief, and these stages should be documented and remembered.
